The Guild
First of all let me say I'm sorry for not posting up recently. I just recently started school again and its been very time consuming.
Web series are really cool because there usually a lot more creative then what is actually on T.V. now a days. I'm sure a lot of you have noticed how most of television now a days is garbage but at least the Internet lets us express our creative sides. For all those shows that are not deemed good enough to be on the air the Internet is a good way for them to be show cased.
The Guild was originally filmed as a T.V. pilot but when the series was not picked up the producers decided to turn it into a YouTube show. The plot of the show basically revolves around a group on War of World Craft addicts and how there lives now revolves around the game. In the series it shows the different mishaps that have happened because of the game consuming there lives and how it affects each one.
I actually really like this show because I find it funny and its interesting to see what kind of mishaps they get themselves in. The shows format is pretty cool because its like a web chat and it feels like they are connecting with you personally. I recommend watching the show because you never really know where its going to go but it really keeps you attention. Support the show by watching it and also if you really like it pick up there DVD set which is filled with a bunch of deleted scenes.
Up above I posted the very first episode and if you like the show it will take you to there youtube site.

I Love the 90's
You know your starting to get old when you start saying "Well back in my day" lol. The point is in the 90's they came out with some bomb movies that everyone now a days should watch. I decided to write this post about two awesome movies that we ran across and were introduced to. Hopefully you guys will go check them out.

The night of my best friends birthday we where all hanging out when my friends girlfriend told us we should watch this movie. I got to say I was really impressed by how good this movie is.
This movie is called "Stay Tuned" and its basically about the devil trying to steal people's souls through television. They find people that watch too much T.V. trap them in this weird bizare television world where if you last longer then 24 hours your free to go. The story follows a couple who gets sucked in to this devil t.v. land and how it affects there relationship. Check it out before I go and ruin the movie.

This movie we ran into while waiting in the hotel room after E.D.C. Its basically tells the story of these kids who enter a Super mario Brothers tournament. They enter the tournament so they can go to California which is the only word this kid can say. Watch the movie to find out how hilarious it is and kinda fucked up parents this kid has :(

Party Monster

Ok, first let me apologize for not posting in the longest time. My bad I've been busy dealing with some bullshit drama I my life (read my other blog if you want to know about it). Today I'm going to talk about my favorite movie and documentary Party Monster.
PARTY MONSTER THE SHOCKUMENTARY
The way I started watching this is because my friend Katrina in high school had told me I should check out the party monster movie (which I did) and after I fell in love with it. Well this is basically a documentary about the Club Kid's and a detailed descriptions of there rise to fame and power. The documentary gives in detail interviews with the primary club kids and basically how they became party central in the late 80's/ early 90's. The documentary also talks about there extensive drug use and how basically this also let to a lot of there outrageous behavior. The documentary basically ends with the conclusion of Angels death and how Michael was finally caught for it.
Party Monster the Movie!
This is a fictionalized story about what happened during this area. It's based of the book called "Disco Bloodbath" which was written by James St. James one of the original club kids! Its basically tells a fictionalized story of how the club kids came in to power and how the fell from grace. I think it's a pretty entertaining story to watch, but I would recommend the book over the movie! It's an amazing book!

Hard Summer

Hard summer I have to say was actually a pretty cool event. They had a really big open space in which the event was held at and the perfect amount of people attended. The people I went with (Tanisha and Bryce) were pretty awesome and they both showed me a really good time. The event it self was actually really awesome. There were two stages right next to each other and some how they were able to keep the noise from leaking on two each other. The Djs that played (Soulwax, Flying lotus, diplo, Major laser) were awesome, I just couldn't handle listening to Crystal Castles. The security was a little ridiculous (having drug dogs and all), and I think its dumb that they wouldn't let people take candy in. Either way I had a blast at the event but our hotel room sucked. I guess the perfect way to summarize hard is through my friend Bryce's words "Hard Summer was a music festival during the day and a dirty rave at night!"

I Can Get Married

OMG I can finally get married in this state!!! Woohoo!! It feels nice to no longer be a second class citizen in the state that I call home. Today in San Francisco Judge Walker decided its unconstitutional to ban same sex marriage, and I agree. I think that if I want to be miserable and stuck with another man for the rest of my life I have every right to do it! So suck it religious assholes!

Weeds

Let's start off by saying, Fucken Tanisha! You got me addicted to another show! Well now that I took care of yelling at Tanisha. Weeds is this show that basically follows a mother after her husband died of a heart attack and how she continues to carry on there lavish life style by selling weed on the side.
The show eventually develops in different ways and keeps the viewer entertain. I would recommend it especially because the new season is coming out soon. I mean who wouldn't want to watch a show based off a drug dealer mom that kicks ass.
Here's the trailer for the next season

Dear Alexis and Becky
You damn lesbians... what have you done to me? You have ruined my life by introducing to me the Real L Word. Ever since you showed me the first episode I became addicted and my I haven't been able to get my fix... not cool. Lol. I'm JK. I love you guys and lets have a Real L Word marathon soon and Jersey Shore.

Now to talk about The Real L Word...
This is basically a reality show based of The L Word (which i actually never watched or got into). This show basically show follows lesbians through out there daily lives and shows us in depth what obstacles they face and have to over come. Here is a list of the characters, a brief description and what I think of them.
Whitney
Bio: She's basically the player of the show.
My Thoughts: I like her, but she needs to learn how to keep track of all her girls.
Rose
Bio: Ex player hardcore party girl (kinda)
My Thoughts: I love her and her girlfriend!
Mikey
Bio: The powerful P.R. chick.
My Thoughts: She's my favorite and that's because I feel shes the most relatable on the show. Not only that but i feel like shes a lesbian Kelly Cutrone lol
Tracy
Bio: She's dating the girl with the children.
My Thoughts: I want to see more of her work life.
Jill and Nikki
Bio: The lesbian couple getting married.
My Thoughts: Not enough drama coming from them.

Woody Allen!

So when I took my first film history class in college one of the very first directors I learned about was Woody Allen, and since that day I've been in love with his work. I have always felt that his work is simple, and always keeps us entertained with its awesomeness and the twist that he's able to put in them. Despite that most of his movies follow the same format the small twist and character development is what keeps us watching them. I don't care what people have to say about Woody Allen, I love his work and I think it's horrible how people judge him based on his personal life and not on his work. I mean who gives a shit if he married his step daughter.. all that should matter to me at least is his work. Here are three movies that he made that I recommend checking out.

1. Anne Hall
Anne Hall is basically a movie that shows the relationship between two people and why the relationship would have never worked out between the two. This movie received four academy awards including, best picture, best director, and best screenplay. This is basically considered by many to be Woody Allen's greatest master piece and broke many of the standard romantic comedy rules.
2. Manhattan
Manhattan is a movie that basically follows a divorced man as he begins a relationship with a 17 year old girl and later falls in love with his best friends mistress. When I talk about loving how a movie can have so many twist and turns and it interwines together this is what I think of. I love this movie greatly and I love the fact that it was shot in black and white as well. Plus the movie captures the essence of Manhattan and helps tell the story as well.
3. Vicky Cristina Barcelona
This movie focuses on two American tourist as they arrive in Barcelona and how they both start an emotional and physical affair with a man that captures there hearts. Basically I love this movie because of the way that its so different then all the other movies. Basically how the movie starts out and ends the same way and the characters end up in the same place despite the fact that they learned so much. Basically I love the lesson this movie teaches us.

This is basically a movie poster for the new Woody Allen movie coming out this September called "You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger." I recommend checking it out because from what I can tell its going to be a great movie!

Kathy Griffin Should Get Her Own Talk Show

OK, so today I ran across the video of Kathy Griffin and Chelsea Handler on Chelsea Lately and let me say it was funny. Not only are both women hilariously funny but Kathy did a really good job being funny and keeping up the energy during the interview. Because of this awesomeness I think that Kathy Griffin totally deserves her own talk show were she can have her own guest.
On Kathy Griffin my life on the d list, Kathy has shown us how interesting she in real life and I think it can translate on to a talk show. The queen of comedy can finally navigate away from all those serious melodramatic talk shows that are on and have a show based on good humor and laughs. She's an interesting person who can bring a humorous laugh to any guest and keep the ratings up as well.
Many blogger's and entertainment channels have been talking about who will replace Oprah when she leaves her talk show this upcoming year.... Well who better to replace the talk show queen then the queen of comedy.. Not only that but I think this would be a perfect way for Kathy to say "suck it" to Oprah.
So hopefully after reading this short little post that i wrote about Kathy Griffin, you will join me on my quest on getting the Queen of Comedy her own talk show were we can all laugh and enjoy her awesomeness.
Your fellow gay,
Ozcar

Learning From The New Kids

Okay, so I know I was suppose to post up this blog yesterday but I decided to go hang out with a few friends who I haven't seen in a while and get shit faced instead. lol.
Anyways... my blog today is basically something I learned from the T.V. one kids while helping enginnering for there production. Basically this lesson is that if your not paying someone to do a show for you dont expect them to show up. Basically what happened was on Thursday the T.V. one kids had there first final project (some extreme show on paint balling) and the guest of the show bailed on them last minute. That's some pretty fucked up shit, and the worse part was the lead producer had to fill in and make everything work. Luckly he was an expert in the field and was able to give a half way decent show...
The moral of the story? Make sure you get some one that you can threaten in some shape or form to guarantee they will be there :D

My Latest Obsession

I honestly hate when ever we finally hit summer because most of my favorite scripted shows are on hiatus till the fall season starts. Luckily I've been cruising around Hulu and I rediscovered Alfred Hitchcock Presents...
This is basically a show that I discovered one late night while flipping through the channels on t.v. and found it on the chill channel. Well when I moved out of my apartment I lost all hope of watching it(cuz I'm to cheap to pay for netflix lol). Well since I've watched most of the shit on Hulu already I had the bright idea of looking up the show... and guess what.. it was on there.
Anyways... the show is basically Alfred Hitchcock introduces each story with an object of scene that represents something important in the show. I love this show because basically its like the Twilight Zone except not as morbid (if that makes sense to you). I guess the best way of explaining it is that instead of using like fear its more of a suspense show just like his movies. I definitely recommend checking out the show since we all know what kind of trash t.v. there is now a days.

About Time

So as many of you know EDC basically came under a lot of fire this year after a 15yr old girl died at the event from an over dose. Well up till now I've kept silent about it because I wanted to see how things would play out before I finally gave my two cents. Unlike many people who are attacking this girl because she fucked up and od at a rave I'm not attacking her, I'm attacking her parents, the company responsible for this event and the stupid people.
First the Parents... Honestly parents you need to get your story straight. First you told the media that you were well aware of the fact that your 15 yr. old daughter was going to a rave, and now your claiming that you had no idea.. What gives? I mean seriously its going to look bad on you guys if you are trying to sue claiming that you had no idea that your daughter wasn't going. Nobody likes a liar who can't keep there story straight. Second of all if you did know you daughter was going to a rave, why the fuck would you let her go. As a person that loves to rave I know exactly what is going on there and I know that as a parent I would never let my child go. For me to say that I wouldn't let my child go is a big deal because I'm one of those crazy people at raves partying. My child can go when they are 18 and are no longer my legal responsibility.
Now Insomniac events... You guys are seriously retarded. You guys promote an event that's suppose to be 16+ and I never saw anyone checking id's at the entrance. Not only that but you should have at least carded the fucken lil lil kids. I seriously saw little fucken kids running around that were like 10 yrs old. I mean come on if your going to put an age limit maybe you should enforce your own rules.... idiots!
Dear Retards at EDC... you all need to die. I just think its stupid how people thought it was ok to break in to edc, jump over fences and trample your way on to the floor of the Colosseum. When people pull off all this stupid shit it makes everyone look bad and we all suffer the consequences. And for all those idiots who decided who couldn't handle there shit and said they were slipped some thing... shut the fuck up! Your making raves look bad! Stupid little ptots don't even know what your doing. I swear. Also stupid little ravers need to shut the fuck up. Is it too much to ask for when I want to go to an event and not see all these stupid kids preaching about P.L.U.R.? Honestly you people are fucken retarded. Raves exist for the music not to promote some stupid life style decision you made. This is why I like to go to Hard events a lot more then Insomniac events. People always bitch about how the people that go there treat it like a concert and that's why i love it.
I'm so happy that the remainder of the events at the Colosseum will be !8+... This way we can finally keep stupid little kids out!

Reality T.V.
I'm not going to lie I love reality t.v. Not only is it trashy awesome and keeps me entertained but most of it is actually really cool. Here's a list of five different shows that I'm in love with and could live with out watching!
1. Bethenny getting married?
Network: Bravo
This is basically a spin off from the popular show The Real Housewives of New York City. Bethenny proved to be a fan favorite and Bravo couldn't deny picking up her spin off. Basically the show revolves around Bethenny as she is preparing to get married to her fiance and also planning on having a baby at the same time. The show is full of wit and also Bethenny's crazy dog named Cookie.
2. The City
Network: MTV
Yes I know another spin off... but i can't help myself. Basically The City is a reality show following Whitney Port as she leaves L.A. and starts her fashion career in New York City. After the first season the whole cast got replaced (except for Whitney and Olivia) and the show actually became a lot more interesting once it followed there fashion lives. I would totally recommend checking this show out especially because the outspoken and hilarious Kelly Cutrone is on the show!
3. Jersey Shore
Network: MTV
Before you start yelling at me I will admit that I have fallen for these stupid twats ok? I use to make fun of everyone that liked this show and then I started to watch it and I realized how trashy reality t.v. could really get. This show basically follows the lives of 8 kids as they party it up in jersey. The only reason i love this show is because I never thought they could show so much trash on t.v.
4. Holly's World
Network: E!
Holly's World is a show that follows former Girl's Next Door star Holly Madison. It shows her new life in Vegas and how she is doing after The Girl's Next door.
5. The Real Housewives of... franchise
Network: Bravo
I love all of these shows that Bravo has come up with.
1. Orange County
2. New York
3. Atlanta
4. New Jersey
5. Washington D.C.
6. Beverly Hills

Leave Lindsay Alone!

I can't believe that there sending such an awesome person away to jail. Shit this is probably the only blog were you will not be reading someone talking shit about Lindsay! No Joke! I remember the very first time I ever say the Parent Trap and i totally fell in love with her! Fuck my life I think I'm going to have a protest in order to have her released! I mean who else in this town is going to make all the crazy shit that she does? Being a bitch in Mean Girls and a crazy stripper in I Know Who Killed Me! What ever... I'm hoping that she gets out of jail early so I can see that bitch party it up! Woot woot!

I Think..

A movie should be made about my life. I'm seriously not kidding. Ya I know this may sound really conceited of me and stuff but my life is really interesting and i think every body would love it. I'm not going to be one of those people that think they should have there own reality show. If you think about it a movie last a lot longer then a reality show ever will. There would be so much drama, sex, drugs, and partying in my movie. It would totally be a cult classic... ya I know I'm being pretty narcissistic right now but I'm venting about something. Isn't it nice to imagine stuff that could never happen?

My Favorite Actress

Has always been Marilyn Monroe. I honestly think she is an amazing actress especially because she was able to hide her depression and violent mood swings from the public and came off as the perfect women. A long time ago when i had the change I visited the Chinese Theater and got to place my hands exactly were she imprinted them while promoting "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes."
Here's a list of Marilyn Monroe movie I recommend checking out!
1. Some Like it Hot
2. The Misfits
3. Let's Make Love
4. All About Eve
5. Bus Stop
Three Fashion Movies To Watch

1. The September Issue
Directed by R.J. Cutier
This is basically a documentary talking about the biggest issue released by Vogue. It's a pretty interesting movie that takes you through the whole process of putting the issue together. I would highly recommend it for people interested in joining the fashion industry or people that like documentaries.
2. Sex and the City
Directed by Michael Patrick King
This if the first movie created about the Sex and the City T.V. series. It's a pretty mild movie that focuses on the women and the clothes they like to wear I guess. At least that's the interesting part of the movie.
3. The Devil Wears Prada
Directed by David Frankel
The Devil Wears Prada is a comedy that focuses mostly in the fashion world and how it's ridiculous. Basically it revolves around fashion and the transformation the fashion world has on one women. It's a really cool movie that I would recommend every one to watch :)

If I Could ReMake One Movie...

It would totally be Breakfast At Tiffany's. The only reason I would remake this movie is because I hate how different it is from the book. Yes I know Hollywood has a tendency of altering stories and stuff like that but I feel this movie was done so wrong. The happy ending isn't suppose to be like that and it seriously bugs me. Not only that but the whole theme of the movie is changed from the book, and it really bugs me that they didn't cast Marilyn Monroe for the female lead. (The book was based of her!!!) What ever I'm over my tantrum...

5 Movies To Watch This Summer
Hey every couple of weeks or so I will be releasing a list of movies that i totally recommend watching.

1. Some Like It Hot!
Director Billy Wilder.
Some Like It Hot is only the greatest comedy ever made! (Literally it was voted number one by the AFI)Marilyn Monroe and Jack Lemmon are great together on the screen and the script writing is amazing. The plot is basically about two men that witness a murder and are being hunted down by the mob. Knowing this they dress up as women and join a all girls band to get way away from them.
2. Breakfast At Tiffany's
Director Blake Edwards
Everyone should watch Breakfast At Tiffany's at least one in there life time. Not only is it a great movie but its a cult classic. Audrey Hepburn is amazing in the roll and the movie is certainly entertaining (even if its different then the book). The movie basically revolves around a whore and a male prostitute who is also a struggling writer. They basically fall in love and you can watch to see what happens next!
3. Match Point
Director Woody Allen
I will be recommending a lot of Woody Allen because I love his WORK! So this is basically a movie about a guy who starts having an affair with his brother-in-laws girlfriend. He is basically torn apart between wealth or getting a good lay. I won't say more about this movie because its actually really good and I want you guys to watch it's awesomeness!
4. The Science Of Sleep
Director Michel Gondry
This is probably one of my favorite movies ever! Its basically about this guy who likes to imagine reality into his own kinda weird fucked up t.v. show in his head. It's hard to describe but I would definitely check it out.
5. Little Miss Sunshine
Director Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris
It's a cute little comedy about a dis functional family and there trip to California for the Little Miss Sunshine pageant. It's cute its funny and definitely will keep u watching.

Swedish Office

Wow lets talk about today's production. So basically the production was pretty good but there were a few things that had to change before that actually happened. First was the the lead producer of the production replaced the director because he had no idea what he was doing. This basically cut down on the time but we still ran a lil over. Second they had a complicated set up but they were able to set up most of it before hand. I liked the way it came out and thought it was hilarious!

Electric Diasy Carnival!

Today was an interesting day! So its finally been decided that I'm going to EDC, and I think I want to make a short little documentary about it with my friends. I think it would be a cool follow up to the current documentary I'm making for my film 110 class. I had a test today in school and I'm super happy because I actually did well on it and got a B! Yay for doing well on tests! Tomorrow were filming the Swedish Office.... let's see how it comes out :/

Zombreeze and TV1

Wow, do i have a lot to talk about today. Let's start with what we did in our TV2 class today. We basically made an infomercial for a product called Zombreeze. Its basically a fake ad for a zombie repellent. Let's say I think the piece was done really well and it came out really funny. They had the southern hick, a zombie, and of course a cheesy spokes men for it! The whole plot went that they introduced the product, tested the product, but it went horribly wrong and they all died! Hilarious! Hopefully i can post it up here eventually. All i got to do was camera but hey it was fun! Ha i hope the Swedish office comes out as good as this. Now lets talk about what happened in Tv1 today. Once again i had to wait for like 3 hours so they could start their engineering, but this time it was ok because i had to edit my final doc for 110. Let's say i had no idea what there project was about but I saw there set and thought it looked really good. When the project started though I couldn't stop laughing. It was some folk singers doing some weird dance and singing and lets just say that's not my cup of tea lol! One more week left! Can't wait to start my summer! (p.s. the pic i posted is of my arm because i fell off a fence last nite :()

What A Douche!
OK so this guy in my Tv 2 class was being a total douche to me. Not only was he trying to do my job (which he did to the cg producer) but he kept questioning every little thing that i had picked out. I mean seriously? I'm the set and props producer not you so stay they fuck away from my shit! If he pisses me off tomorrow I'm gonna go ape shit on his ass!

Engineering Today

So today in my tv 2 class and in the tv 1 class I got to engineer. To be honest i dont really mind being the engineer for these classes except for the fact that I have to wait forever. Not only that but stoopid tv 1 class made my life difficult today by putting so much black in the production. Talk about difficult. The tv 2 class had a really cool debate today on the fee increases that the state of California is suppose to be voting on this up coming fall! I hope the show we recorded makes it on to something so people can become more aware of whats going on with this state. Tv 1 did a music show today and the band was pretty cool. The one part I thought was really funny though was the fact that the drummer decided to perform in his underwear, and if you have ever been in our tv studio you know how cold it gets. EEEEKKK! I'm starting to get nervous now, since our production is on Thursday!

Today's Tour
Today's tour was actually really fun and such a shock to me at the same time. I finally got to see what its like to put together a 30 min show in less the a couple of hours. I really enjoyed seeing all of the hard working people in action and also getting to meet a bunch of interesting people and a celebrity! lol.

Really?

Wow, so today in class we had the very first final project, which was Deaf Chiefs From Around the World. Well lets just things didnt go very well. The interpreter bailed on the group so they had to add a voice over at the very last minute. The building caught fire due to a electrical issue some were else. The worse part of it was the fact that i didnt get any sushi just because i had to leave early because the production went over the time limit and I had work. BAD DAY!!!

Newport Beach Film Festival

Despite the fact that every year there is a film festival in Orange County I have never attended it. So this year I decided that I'm going to go out and help support my fellow film makers, especially because i get extra credit for attending (at least attending my school portion of it). Well anyways, there having a couple of free seminars for script writing and directing which I do want to check out. Stoopid weather better not get in my way.

I Guess I'm Directing Again
So, I guess im directing my TV groups final project and I'm kinda nervous. Last time I directed for the class I was so not ready for so many video roll in's and I feel like I fucked up the production. Don't get me wrong its not like I feel I cant do this I can im just scared shit less. Lol. What ever I'll make sure this time it comes out way better.

Lighting Assignment
OK, so yesterday for my Film 110 class i finally had to turn in my wonderful master piece. Well lets just day that my professor tore my project apart and was not happy. He basically told me that a chess with death shouldn't be turned in to a comedy, and the acting sucked. I'm sorry mister professor guy but I'm not going to hire trained actors for this shit like you keep telling us to. I mean seriously, this is fucken stoopid maybe you should have looked at my lighting and shoot a lot more then concentrating on the acting. I mean wasn't that the whole point of the assignment? I did a fucken bomb ass job with the silhouette lighting and by getting some pretty good close ups. I better get a B on this project. What do you guys think about my project?
